Southwestern Oklahoma State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Early World History and Coordinator of the History Education Program. The successful candidate will teach both online and in-person courses and supervise student teaching experiences.

The role includes coordinating CAEP-aligned accreditation processes, advising History Education majors, and maintaining program records. Start date is anticipated 8/11/2027; location is Weatherford, OK.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in History preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Prior teaching at secondary and collegiate level preferred.
• Familiarity with InTASC Core Teaching Standards, CAEP accreditation standards, and C3 Framework preferred.
• Statement on teaching philosophy must be included.

Responsabilités

• Teach Early World History and related courses online and in-person.
• Coordinate the History Education program including supervising student teaching field experiences.
• Maintain documentation and data for the program’s accreditation.
• Advise History Education majors on degree progress and field hours.
• Contribute to ongoing professional development.
