Job summary

MISUMI Americas invites applications for an Investment Associate at Misumi Ventures, a fund being launched within MISUMI Americas. The role focuses on building the deal funnel, engaging with co-investors, and supporting diligence for frontier hardware opportunities.

Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will drive external presence, portfolio company support, and LP reporting, contributing to the fund’s early-stage strategy and growth.

Qualifications

• Two to four years in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or an operating role at a hardware or deep-tech company.
• Demonstrated technical fluency in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, manufacturing or a related field highly preferred.
• Strong written communication. Memos, market analysis, and LP reporting constitute a large share of the work.
• Established relationships in the venture, engineering or founder community a strong plus, or a clear plan for building them.
• Comfort operating without an existing playbook, at a fund making its first investments.

Responsibilities

• Build deal funnel and maintain investor relationships across sectors.
• Lead diligence activities, portfolio company support, and introductions.
• Shape fund positioning, external presence, and founder-facing communications.
• Manage LP reporting cadence, CRM, and data discipline.
