Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring General Production team members in the United States. You will help produce safe, high-quality meat products on a fast-paced line and support your teammates with reliability and attention to detail.

Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with comprehensive health insurance, retirement benefits, and education benefits available to eligible team members. The shift runs 3:00am–3:00pm, Monday through Friday and Saturdays, with opportunities for career growth and development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Work with a knife (if trained) and handle meat products.
• Able to work in cold and hot environments (20-40 degrees or above 100 degrees).
• May require certification to operate various equipment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process meat products using hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to prepare consumer products.
• Maintain a safe, high-quality production line and support teamwork and efficiency.
• Follow safety policies and assist coworkers to meet production goals.
