Chantilly Heights in Chantilly, VA is hiring a Line Cook/Chef to support meal preparation for residents. The role runs 6am-2pm and emphasizes timely, high-quality cooking in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have prior cooking experience and can manage large quantities while adhering to food safety standards and dietary requirements. The position offers competitive compensation and opportunities for growth and time off.

Competenze

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Prior cooking experience.
• Ability to prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.

Mansioni

• Prepare or direct the preparation, seasoning and cooking of all soups, salads, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, and all other foods.
• Prior cooking experience and knowledge of special diets, cooking times, and temperature controls.
• Communicate and work efficiently with other dietary staff and healthcare staff to ensure accuracy in a fast paced, high stress environment.
• Adhere to all food handling and hygiene practices.
• Accurately estimate quantities of food required to properly reduce waste.
• Prepare restaurant quality, nutritionally balanced and attractively served meals, our goal is to provide the best food and service to our residents.
