Job summary

Fortrea CRU Inc. is seeking a Research Technician in Daytona Beach, FL to support clinical trial activities. The role involves direct interaction with healthy volunteers and hands-on duties in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

You will perform phlebotomy, monitor vital signs, and assist with sample collection and processing, ECGs, and protocol adherence. The position requires a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience; EMT/CNA/CMA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
• EMT, CMA or CNA certification, preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with healthy volunteer participants while learning to read clinical research protocols.
• Accurately perform blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings.
• Prepare and accurately record ECGs/Holters.
• Collect and process biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensure proper distribution of those samples.
• Monitor meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants.
• Assist in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment.
• Assist with screening procedures as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working and study environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
