Job summary

Georgetown University Law Center is seeking an Early Outreach Initiative Coordinator to engage high school students through outreach programs and presentations, in-person and in partnership with admissions. This seasonal, part-time role focuses on expanding access to legal education by building relationships with counselors, educators, and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, educators, community organizations, and institutional partners.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and database systems.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as programming requires.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally for outreach events.

Job Overview

The Early Outreach Initiative Coordinator supports Georgetown University Law Center’s commitment to expanding access to legal education by engaging high school students through outreach, educational programming, and relationship building. This position helps increase awareness of legal careers and the law school pathway among students who may not otherwise have exposure to the legal profession. Working closely with the Office of Admissions, the Admissions Officer serves as a representative of Georgetown Law in schools and community settings, delivering presentations, facilitating discussions, coordinating outreach activities, and fostering meaningful connections with students, educators, counselors, and community partners. The incumbent communicates with prospective participants through email, phone, and in-person interactions while supporting the planning and execution of outreach programs designed to inspire the next generation of legal professionals.

This is a seasonal, part-time, fully in-person position with occasional local and regional travel.
Work Interactions

The Early Outreach Initiative Coordinator duties include but are not limited to:

Requirements and Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Experience presenting to high school or college student audiences.
  • Experience planning educational programs, workshops, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with law school admissions, legal education, or pipeline programs.
  • Experience with CRM systems, event management platforms, or student information systems.

Pay Range:

The projectedsalary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:

$41,926.00 - $65,090.00

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
