Job summary

FedEx is seeking a part-time Yard Switcher/Package Handler for early morning preload shifts in Manchester Township. Responsibilities include moving trailers in the yard, communicating movements, and accurately documenting actions.

You will also load/unload packages, operate basic equipment, and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. No experience is required, but a valid driver’s license and ability to read numbers for sorting are important.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to operate basic loading tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for movement of trailers to/from unload/load doors and yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Load and unload packages onto/from vehicles, trailers, or carts.
