General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers courteously, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows all company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate performs various tasks across store areas as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain a safe shopping environment by keeping the sales floor clear and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Greet and assist Customers courteously and professionally, including handling transactions and answering questions.
• Respond promptly to Customer needs and issues, escalating to Store Leadership when necessary.
• Support the Company brand through professional conduct.
• Perform cleaning tasks regularly to maintain store cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Organize and recover merchandise to keep the store neat and well-presented.
• Expedite merchandise to the sales floor and assist with product knowledge.
• Follow Loss Prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle cash and transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Work with a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership in a friendly and respectful manner. Basic mathematical skills used in retail environments.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to use store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and lift more than 25 pounds.
• For Stockroom shifts, ability to push, pull, and lift over 20 pounds.
