General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures a positive shopping experience for Customers. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed. Flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals is expected.

Essential Functions
  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Maintain awareness on the sales floor, keep exits clear, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Greet customers courteously, assist with merchandise, and answer questions knowledgeably.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve issues courteously.
  • Support the Company brand and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Ensure store organization and merchandise presentation per guidelines.
  • Assist with receiving and merchandising new inventory.
  • Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
  • Follow policies on transactions, cash handling, and inventory disposal.
  • Work efficiently, minimizing steps and maximizing productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

Effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and using store equipment are required. Ability to lift over 25 pounds and work in stockroom shifts is also necessary.
