Job summary

Nimble is seeking a part-time cafeteria assistant in Merrillville, IN. The role runs 5:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Monday through Friday when school is in session and lunch is served.

Duties include prepping fruit and vegetables for lunch, serving breakfast, and cleaning the serving line, with other tasks assigned by the Cafeteria Manager. Requirements include strong communication skills to interact with students, staff, and the public, basic computer knowledge, and a willingness to learn the POS

Qualifications

• Good communication with students, staff, administration and the public.
• Some computer knowledge helpful and willingness to learn POS cashiering.
• Must be able to push, pull or lift items weighing at least 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Preps fruit and vegetables for lunch.
• Serves breakfast and cleans the serving line.
• Performs other duties assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
• Attends job-related training as provided by the School Nutrition Dept.
