Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools seeks a Central Kitchen Assistant 2 to support bakery, salad and cooking areas, preparing and assembling meals in a safe, sanitary manner per NSLP regulations.

You will assist with all phases of food preparation, maintain cleanliness, help with lunch counts, and operate the Point of Sale system as needed. Requires a high school diploma, background check, and a Washington Driver's License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current FWPS Employee or Guest Employee with Nutrition Services.
• Criminal background check required.
• Possess and maintain valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Possess and maintain valid Food Handler's Permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of food preparation in kitchen areas (bakery, salad, cooking).
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and general orderliness.
• Load correct amount of food into serving units per schedule.
• Assist with lunch counts and filling orders; operate POS when needed.
• Adhere to NS attire protocol and safety standards.
