Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or training is required.
• Background in a medical laboratory and/ or knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• May be required to travel to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and perform routine laboratory office duties.
• Register patients and accurately enter data into the computer system.
• Specimen accessioning, telephone handling and processing paperwork.
• Prepare specimens for testing or sending to central or reference labs.
• Handle waived and specified non-waived POC tests as allowed by the Lab Director.
• May act as driver and participate in on-call rotation.
