Job summary

Carlson is hiring dependable Floor Care Technicians to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming retail environments in North Canton, Ohio. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and can reliably report for very early morning shifts.

Schedules are based on location needs and may include weekends, holidays, and a seven-day workweek. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with weekly pay and direct-hire employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in floor care/janitorial is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn how to operate professional floor care equipment.
• Dependable transportation to the work location.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Flexible for early morning hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, buff, and maintain hard-surface flooring.
• Vacuum, shampoo, spot-clean, and extract carpeted areas.
• Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other floor care equipment safely.
• Clean restrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Remove trash and keep work areas organized.
• Follow daily task lists and scheduled hours.
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages.
• Place safety signs and barriers as needed.
• Work with teammates to meet customer expectations.
• Assist with additional cleaning and floor care duties as assigned.
