Job summary

PPG Industries in Thomasville, NC is seeking a Production Batching Operator for the 1st shift (3:30am–11:30am). You will learn raw materials, set up and mix production chemicals, and ensure accurate batch makeup to supply quality products to customers.

The role involves handling materials, verifying pigment, operating a forklift, and staging rework as needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, read/write English, and work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn about the raw materials used in batch making.
• Set up, mix, and/or deliver production chemicals where accurate composition matters.
• Add raw materials and verify materials to kettles.
• Add and verify oil weigh-up.
• Scrap kettles as required and verify pigment.
• Operate forklift as needed during production.
• Stage rework as necessary.
