Job summary

King’s Hawaiian in Torrance is seeking a bakery team member to prepare frozen pastries, icing, fillings, and other items for the next day’s bake off. You will record inventory, organize the walk-in freezer, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires English proficiency, prior retail/restaurant experience, and a valid Food Handler Certificate. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work mornings, weekends, and overtime is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication.
• Experience in a retail or restaurant operation preferred.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate.
• Self-motivated with the ability to see what is needed to be done with little direction.
• Able to prioritize tasks with a teamwork focus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must be able to arrive on time for all shifts, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Prepares frozen pastries per production list for the next morning’s bake off.
• Prepares icing, fillings and other bakery items needed for finishing.
• Records inventory of on hand items and incoming deliveries.
• Organizes walk-in freezer and maximizes space.
• Keeps work area clean, organized, and safe.
