Job summary

Chico Hot Springs Bakery is seeking a reliable Baker/Pastry employee to support our restaurants and banquets. The role involves baking fresh bread daily, pastries for the morning dining room, and desserts for the fine dining restaurant, including custom wedding cakes. The bakery operates as a small team of 2–3 people with early starts around 5–6am.

Qualifications

• Has excellent communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR certified.
• Has core Customer Service skills and training.
• Has experience as Baker and/or Pastry Chef.
• Has knowledge Aloha Systems.
• Has knowledge of Chico Hot Springs history and property.
• Has ability to multi-task and work with high detail.
• Able to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Able to lift or carry 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in heat over 80 degrees.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Able to work irregular and long hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries and desserts daily following house recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in creating and implementing menu specials.
• Manage daily opening and closing procedures for bakery operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in kitchen and BOH areas.
• Provide great service to guests and team members.
• Collaborate with team to cover daily needs of restaurants and banquets.
