Job summary

Catapult Learning in Saugus, MA is seeking a part-time Early Literacy Tutor to support reading, math, and writing using Catapult's curriculum.

You will diagnose skill deficits, coordinate with school staff, and communicate progress to parents. Requires associate degree or higher; FBI/BCI background check; teaching experience preferred; on-site sessions.

Overview

This part-time Early Literacy Tutor position is based in Saugus, MA. Tutors provide contracted instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in reading, mathematics, and writing for students, using Catapult Learning's proven curriculum and ongoing instructional support.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate efforts in providing services to students
• Communicate and conference with parents, providing information on student progress
• Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills using Company-designed materials and educational strategies
• Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plansEnsure supervision of students, including escorting students safely to and from sessions
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company, local, state, and/or federal agencies
• Attend and document meetings/training with Company Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors: an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution, or at least two years of study (48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours)
• Licensed tutors: teachers with proper credentials recognized by the State of MA as a Properly Licensed Teacher
• Must complete an FBI/BCI background check
• Teaching experience preferred

Compensation

Starting from $35.00 per hour, plus opportunities for professional development, advancement, and continued instructional and leadership support.
