Job summary

North Shore YMCA's Haverhill location is seeking an experienced early childhood educator to step into a new Team Leader role that supports growth, peer mentorship, and high-quality learning environments.

You will lead classroom teams, mentor teachers, ensure curriculum consistency with EEC guidelines and YMCA values, and collaborate with leadership to strengthen program quality and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience in early childhood education.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and strong performance.
• Willingness to participate in Team Leader training program.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support and inspire peers in a positive, non-supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Model and support the implementation of a high-quality curriculum aligned with EEC guidelines and YMCA values.
• Mentor teachers, support planning, and help maintain teacher-student ratios.
• Maintain open communication with families and leadership and contribute to program quality improvement.
