Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc. is seeking a Child Care Teacher to provide high-quality early learning experiences that support children's growth across physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and developmental domains.

You will foster a safe, nurturing, inclusive environment using HighScope curriculum and related assessments, promoting belonging, independence, and well-being for every child.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with The Registry or eligible for registration.
• Lead Educators must meet DCF/NAEYC education requirements.
• Must obtain required certifications including Pediatric First Aid, CPR/AED, AHCCD, mandated reporter training.
• Prior experience in early childhood education required.
• Experience with HighScope or Conscious Discipline preferred.
• NAEYC-accredited program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise children to maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Utilize classroom technology and software to support communication and documentation.
• Organize and manage multiple classroom priorities with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team to support a positive workplace culture.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality, and scheduling to meet DCF ratios.
• Complete required background checks and regulatory training.
• Demonstrate agency values and commitment to the mission.
• Ensure classroom practices align with HighScope, COR Advantage, DCF, NAEYC, and YoungStar.
