Job summary

Vail School District is seeking a dedicated child care program staff member to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for preschool-aged children. The position requires alignment with Arizona Early Learning Standards, strong communication, and the ability to manage daily routines, attendance, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or CDA certificate with 1 year childcare experience or 6 college credits in ECE.
• AA or Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience approved by the Director.

Responsibilities

• Plan, post, and implement activity/lesson plans aligned with state standards.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing environment and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain attendance rosters, portfolios, and parent communications.
• Support social-emotional learning and positive behavior guidance.
• Coordinate with staff and families; participate in required staff meetings.
• Adhere to program policies, DHS requirements, and accreditation standards.
