Job summary

Greater Midland is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support Lead Teachers in our Early Childhood Education programs. You will help implement daily routines and learning opportunities, while promoting the center's Purpose and Values.

You will document activities, engage with families, and ensure child safety. The role requires 18+ years old and a HS diploma or GED; CDA is preferred. TB and Fingerprint clearance are required, with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; CDA preferred (3 credit hours in child related field).
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• TB and Fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily documentation of activities, progress and milestones.
• Engage with parents/guardians through written, verbal and social platforms.
• Interact with children at their level during routines and activities.
• Support Lead Teacher in daily activities.
• Meet basic needs and support development (physical, cognitive, social-emotional).
• Ensure safety of all children and follow licensing guidelines.
• Participate in 24+ hours of professional development per year.
• Complete CPR/First Aid as needed.
