Job summary

Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center in West Des Moines, IA seeks a childcare aide to support the Lead Educator in implementing play-based lesson plans and to supervise children both in classroom and outdoors. Qualifications

• Must meet the Department of Human Services Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Previous experience with young children preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Provide active supervision to ensure student safety and engagement.
• Support classroom management and behavior guidance.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom.
• Greet families and share updates using the center’s communication platform.
