Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services, Inc. in Livermore, CA, is seeking an experienced Early Interventionist/ Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to work in a pediatric outpatient clinic and preschool setting with toddlers ages 18 to 36 months who have developmental delays. The role runs 8:30am - 1:00pm, Monday through Friday.

You will collaborate with SLPs, OTs, and IDSs to promote milestones through direct instruction and caregiver coaching, with growth opportunities in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in early intervention (ages 0–3).
• Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field; Master’s a plus.
• Spanish-speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to toddlers in a clinic/preschool setting.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Conduct developmental assessments and write reports.
• Coach caregivers during sessions to support carryover of skills.
• Collaborate with other specialists and participate in team meetings.
• Contribute to IFSP goals and documentation.

Ascend Rehab Services is hiring an experienced and passionate Early Interventionist/ Infant Development Specialist (IDS) to join our team in Livermore, CA. This position is based in a pediatric outpatient clinic and preschool setting—not home-based—and focuses on supporting toddlers ages 18 to 36 months with developmental delays. This position 8:30am - 1:00pm, Monday to Friday.
