The City of Virginia Beach is seeking an Early Intervention Supervisor I to lead a team of Service Coordinators and Developmental Services Providers, ensuring family-centered practices and compliance with Part C regulations.
This role provides direct supervision, oversees caseload distribution and IFSP timelines, and participates in quality improvement, audits, and partnership building with community and state agencies.

As the Early Intervention Supervisor I, you will provide direct supervision and administrative oversight to our team of Service Coordinators and Developmental Services Providers. In this vital role, you will champion family-centered practices, ensure compliance with federal and state Part C regulations, and drive program excellence to improve outcomes for children and families.

The ideal candidate would have two years of supervisory or lead experience in an early intervention, developmental disabilities, pediatric, healthcare, education, or human services program serving infants, toddlers, children, and families.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (such as psychology, behavioral or mental health , special education, social work) and seven (7) years of experience working with persons with an intellectual disability associated with such positions as senior clinician or educator OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to eleven (11) years working with persons with an intellectual disability associated with such positions as senior clinician or educator. Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
Special Requirements: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
