Job summary

All About Kids, Inc. seeks a compassionate Special Education Instructor (SPED) to create personalized learning plans and deliver evidence-based instruction for children with developmental delays in Smithtown, NY.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, assess progress, and tailor interventions while engaging families for ongoing support and active participation in inclusive school and community activities.

Qualifications

• MA/MS and NYS SPED certification required.
• Perm cert options include Special Education Permanent Certificate or Students with Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide instruction in small group or one-on-one settings using diverse methods.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to changing needs.
• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other team members.
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about student progress and recommendations.
• Participate in school and community activities to promote social skills and inclusion.
