All About Kids, Inc. in Smithtown, NY is seeking a dedicated Special Education Instructor (SPED) to support students with developmental delays. The role focuses on individualized plans and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.

You will develop IEPs, provide small group or one-on-one instruction, assess progress, and engage families to support ongoing student growth in an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• MA/MS and NY State SPED teaching certification is required.
• Permanent Special Education Certificate or Students with Disabilities (Birth to Grade 2) are acceptable paths.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings using varied teaching methods
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to changing needs

At All About Kids, Inc., we are dedicated to providing exceptional services to children with developmental delays, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Instructor (SPED) to join our team in Smithtown, New York.

About the Role:

As a Special Education Instructor (SPED), you will play a vital role in creating personalized learning plans for our students, implementing evidence-based instructional strategies, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure each child receives the highest level of care. Your expertise will help foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, empowering our students to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs

• Provide instruction in a small group or one-on-one setting, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies

• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet changing needs

• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other team members to ensure comprehensive treatment

• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to keep them informed of student progress and provide recommendations for ongoing support

• Participate in school and community activities to promote social skills and inclusion

Compensation

$45-$75 per hour
