The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full time Child Development Specialist to work in Miami, FL. The role involves working with children, their parents, and educators to assess development needs and provide guidance on overcoming developmental challenges.

The position focuses on delivering evaluations, direct therapy, and consultation services, with services provided in natural environments and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of relevant work experience with infants/toddlers and families.
• Bilingual English/Creole preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluations, reports, goals, direct therapy, and consultation services.
• Implements services for children with developmental indicators.
• Delivers consultation to parents, caregivers, teachers, and professionals regarding progress.
• Assists children with physical, social, and behavioral needs.
• Maintains effective communications with parents.
• Ensures licensing regulations are complied with at all times.
• Inputs patient data into computer systems timely.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards University assets.
