Job summary

Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Developmental Specialist to join our community-based early intervention team. You will assess children birth to three years and provide therapies in home or daycare settings, focusing on family-centered care and coaching parents.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in early education or early intervention, plus practicums with young children. Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged to apply; EICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 300 hours of practicum or work with young children required (birth to five).
• First Aid and CPR (infant and child) required.

Job description

Our team of Early Intervention specialists assesses children and provides therapies needed to help children meet developmental milestones. We work with children from birth to three years of age. Most importantly, we bring services to your home or daycare center, so your child always feels safe and secure.

We are seeking a Developmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized and able to work with little supervision. Experience with family centered care, passionate about coaching parents and able to provide strategies to a diverse population. Must be comfortable with being completely community based.

We also work with children who are on the autism spectrum disorder, as well as children who may have concerns with feeding, sensory issues, and other medical needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in early education or early intervention required
• EICS certification preferred.
• 300 hours of practicum or work experience with young children required (ages birth to five)
• First Aid, CPR (infant and child)
• Spanish speaking encouraged to apply
