Job summary

North Suffolk Community Services is seeking an Early Childhood Educator / Service Coordinators to join the Harbor Area EI Team. You will support infants and toddlers with developmental delays through screening, evaluation, and family-centered services.

Responsibilities include IFSP development, direct child and family support, and coordination with medical and community providers. A Bachelor's in ECE or related field is required, with EI experience and a valid driver's license strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Early Childhood Education, Education, or Early Intervention.
• Experience in Infancy/Early Childhood and Special Education preferred.
• Minimum 300 hours of work experience with children under five.
• Must have driver's license and access to reliable vehicle for off-site services.
• Spanish bilingual a plus; indicate language skills in application.

Responsibilities

• Provide EI screening, intake, evaluation, and assessment.
• Deliver direct child development and family support / case management.
• Contribute to IFSP development and ongoing execution and review.
• Collaborate with families and the EI team on concerns, priorities, and resources.
• Provide education, advocacy, and support on child and parenting issues.
• Refer for specialized therapies and coordinate with other services.
• Coordinate intervention services with medical, state, and health providers.
• Assist in developing transition plans for child and family clients.
