Job summary

ATI Physical Therapy in the SW Indianapolis Area seeks an Injury Prevention Specialist/Athletic Trainer to support on-site employees in a PRN, M-F day-shift role. New grads are welcome and compensation is competitive.

This role focuses on developing injury prevention programs, collaborating with ATI’s healthcare network, and advancing on-site wellness and safety initiatives. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Athletic Training is required, with BLS/AED and BOC eligibility/certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Athletic Training required.
• BLS and AED certification required; BOC certification preferred or eligible.
• Active licensure or ability to obtain licensure as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Interface with office and industrial clients to assess health status and create individualized improvement plans.
• Observe work performance, assess body mechanics, determine risk, and mitigate with a tailored plan.
• Document treatments in workplace settings and provide coaching for ongoing improvement.
• Understand OSHA 1904.7 recordkeeping related to first aid.
• Address discomfort through education and job-specific coaching; support medical surveillance and clinic operations.
• Educate employees on wellness and disease prevention to improve population health.

Responsibilities

As an Early Intervention Specialist you will be responsible for interfacing with office and industrial clients to assess employee health status and create an individualized plan for improvement.

• Through observation of employee work performance, assess body mechanics, determine risk and create a plan for mitigation.
• Perform and document all employee treatments within the workplace efficiently and completely with a strong ability to integrate feedback through coaching for continuous improvement.
• Understand OSHA recordkeeping rules as they pertain to first aid (29 CFR 1904.7)
• Proactively address discomfort through education and job-specific coaching with the goal of eliminating contributions to the injury.
• Assist with medical surveillance testing and clinic operations.
• Assist to identify, develop, and provide employee health education and training on wellness and disease prevention topics to optimize the health of the population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training
  • Other Qualified Disciplines: Associates degree as a PTA with licensure; or Bachelors’ degree in Exercise Science/Athletic Training/Kinesiology/Allied Health; or 2 years experience in a Military healthcare setting
• Discipline-specific license or certification as appropriate
• Basic Life Support and AED Certification
• BOC certified or eligible to sit for BOC preferred
