Job summary

Meeting Street Massachusetts Inc in New Bedford, MA seeks a Social Worker to support infants and toddlers in Early Intervention, working 30 hours per week.

You will conduct developmental screenings, interpret results, and develop IFSPs with families as part of a multidisciplinary team; must be licensed MA Social Worker, CPR/First Aid, and possess EI licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related experience working with infants and toddlers birth to age 5.
• Licensed as a Social Worker in Massachusetts.
• Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
• Provisional Early Intervention licensure; completion of CEIS portfolio within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screening using approved instruments for birth to three years as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Interpret screening results and explain findings to families with health literacy in mind.
• Adapt environments and design devices to support development respecting family culture.
• Develop and implement IFSP with family and EI team.
• Create therapeutic activities to minimize impact of developmental delays.
