PROGRAM AND JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is responsible for creating and overseeing programs, policies, services, and environments that support physical and socio-emotional health, promote primary and reproductive health services, health equity, social justice, safety, and well-being for NYC families and children. The Division includes the Bureau of Maternal Infant and Reproductive Health, the Bureau of Early Intervention, the Office of School Health, and the Bureau of Administration. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Facilitating IFSP meetings with families, interventionists, and service coordinators, in accordance with SDOH regulations and NYC EIP policies, within mandated timelines, using Microsoft Outlook and NYEIS for data entry and case management.
- Ensuring accurate completion of procedures as outlined in the NYC Policy and Procedure Manual and NYS Regulations.
- Completing all documentation related to evaluation and IFSP processes, including service and billing paperwork to ensure ongoing services for EI children.
- Responding to, preparing for, and participating in mediations and fair hearings as assigned. Attending scheduled meetings inside and outside the Regional Office.
- Communicating professionally with EI providers, families, service coordinators, and colleagues. Reporting concerns and requesting technical assistance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of child development, delays, and disabilities.
- Knowledge of services for young children and family-centered services.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of EI regulations is an asset.

Position: SR Healthcare Program Plan Analyst - 83052
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Social Sciences, Health Care, Physical Sciences, or related fields; and four years of relevant experience, or
- A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Public or Hospital Administration, or related disciplines; and three years of relevant experience, or
- An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication are required.
