Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (BHN) is seeking a Developmental Specialist to support children from birth to age three in family homes or community settings.

You will develop play-based, individualized activities aligned with family priorities and provide guidance and advocacy. Responsibilities include partnering with families to implement activities, creating treatment plans, and ensuring alignment with DPH regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, education, or special education is required.
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families.
• Strong knowledge of infant and child development, mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and treatment techniques.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with families to develop and implement fun, individualized activities that support each child's developmental goals.
• Collaborate with families to create treatment plans and assist them in accessing community resources.
• Provide services in accordance with Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations.
• Adapt activities to a variety of settings, ensuring engagement and growth in each child's natural environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on developmental assessments and progress notes.
