Job summary

Community Support Services of Missouri seeks a First Steps Service Coordinator to manage referral intake, eligibility and IFSP implementation under Missouri’s Early Intervention system. You will maintain electronic records, ensure HIPAA/FERPA compliance, and facilitate IFSP meetings within a 45-day window.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with experience in early intervention for children 0–3 and strong communication, documentation and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required under Missouri First Steps standards.
• 3+ years of experience with children aged 0–3 preferred in early intervention.
• Knowledge of First Steps eligibility, IFSP processes and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals, intake, eligibility and IFSP implementation within Missouri First Steps timelines.
• Maintain electronic records in Web-SPOE and ensure HIPAA/FERPA compliance.
• Initiate and maintain eligibility processes for First Steps families.
• Facilitate IFSP development and meetings within 45 days of referral.
• Attend monthly EIT meetings and maintain monthly family contact.
• Ensure timely delivery and monitoring of available services.
• Document case notes within two working days and maintain confidentiality.
• Refer families to state and community resources; build rapport with families.
• Participate in CSS and state agency meetings and provider recruitment activities.
