Summary

The Clinical Fellow (CF) position is a 10-12 month position. During this time, the fellow will be supervised by a NYS licensed SLP with ASHA certification. To receive their NYS licensure and ASHA certification at the end of this period, the CF must demonstrate proficiency in all required areas by the state and the National Organization.

Our collaborative teams provide comprehensive care throughout all stages of a child's development, offering services such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and Diagnostic Evaluations (service availability varies by location).

Essential Functions

What you’ll be doing at Autism Care Partners:

  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
  • Conduct evaluations and deliver services.
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Participate in mandatory supervision visits.
  • Attend weekly speech department meetings.
Competencies

The CF must communicate effectively with children, parents, districts, DOH personnel, and agency staff.

Meeting Expectations
  • Attend weekly group meetings and meet with the CF supervisor.
  • Participate in trainings and in-services.
  • Participate in IFSP/CPSE/CSE meetings for clients.
Work Environment

Services may occur both in the field and in office settings.

Physical Demands
  • Carry equipment and necessary items to client locations.
  • Lift children up to 50 pounds.
  • Get on and off the floor as needed.
Travel Required

CF must be able to drive to service clients.

Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • NYS TSSLD certification.
Additional Requirements
  • Considered an essential worker as part of critical infrastructure.
  • No prior criminal history.
  • Ability to utilize technology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, Teams.
