Note: We are looking for Home-Based Providers in NYC, Long Island, and Westchester.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Our COTA program is highly selective and committed to your career development through supervision, training, and growth opportunities. The role involves flexible scheduling, skills training, and providing services to children on the autistic spectrum, under the supervision of a Licensed OT.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide Occupational Therapy services to children aged 0-3 with an authorized IFSP.
  2. Evaluate, instruct, and monitor functional exercise programs to enhance strength, range of motion, and upper extremity skills.
  3. Assess the need for ADL equipment.
  4. Work on sensory integration skills.
  5. Document progress and activities in session reports.
  6. Complete quarterly progress reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Experience working with children with special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Understanding of agency policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility in service provision and scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Physical ability to respond to children's movements and play.
  • Ability to lift children weighing 20-50 pounds when necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an NYS-registered Occupational Therapy program or equivalent.
  • Certified and registered to practice occupational therapy in NY.
  • At least one year of supervised experience in a healthcare setting.
