Job summary

The Parent Child Center of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking an Early Intervention Associate in South Burlington, VT. You will model, coach, and support caregivers to apply strategies from the child’s One Plan to help development and learning.

The role includes coordinating services and delivering specialized instruction within daily routines. Ideal candidates have knowledge of early childhood development, CIS, and screening tools, with strong communication and organization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development birth to three and delays.
• Experience in Early Intervention or related human services.
• Knowledge of CIS and early childhood system of care.
• Training in screening and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; valid driver’s license and reliable internet.

Job Details: Job Location: South Burlington, VT 05403, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly, The Parent Child Center of Northwestern Counseling & Support Services seeks individuals with experience working with families and a desire to work in early childhood. Early Intervention is a special education service for infants and toddlers with developmental delay(s), or medical/genetic conditions that place them at risk of developmental delay(s). The Early Intervention Associate models, coaches, and supports a child's caregivers to use strategies identified in the child's One Plan to help the child develop and learn. The Early Intervention Associate coordinates services and/or provides specialized instruction that caregivers can implement into the child's daily routines to improve the child's functional skills.

Duties include:

• Providing family support, parent education, and service coordination to address child and family goals in homes, childcare settings, as well as team environments.
• Provision of telehealth services to children and families.

Ideal applicants will have:

• Knowledge of child development birth to three; knowledge of developmental delays and children with medical/genetic disorders.
• Previous experience in Early Intervention, early child development, childcare, and/or human services & social work.
• Knowledge of Children's Integrated Services (CIS) and the early childhood system of care for infants, toddlers, and their families.
• Training in screening and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; reliable internet connection at home; and a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation.
