Job summary

Upbring seeks an Early Head Start Teacher in Training to support infants and toddlers under experienced mentors. You will assist in implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities, maintain a safe, nurturing classroom, and help families engage with their children’s growth.

This role provides CDA-related training, Head Start standards instruction, and professional development, with opportunities to travel up to 10% and advance toward a CDA credential and a career in early childhood

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three months experience in a childcare setting.
• Eligible to enroll in a CDA Infant/Toddler credential program and complete it within six months of beginning the training.
• Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification.
• Willing to obtain COR Advantage Assessment certification.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise children indoors and outdoors to ensure their well‑being and security.
• Administer developmental screenings, assessments, and evaluations to create individualized learning plans.
• Plan and implement activities aligned with IEPs, disabilities, curriculum, and performance standards.
• Build supportive, respectful, and communicative relationships with children and families.
• Complete required coursework (CDA) and attend professional development.
• Follow licensing, Head Start performance standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records and communicate progress with parents.
• Address behavior concerns and support classroom management.
• Collaborate with Education Coach, teachers, and staff to support program goals.
• Conduct parent–teacher conferences and home visits.
