SHORE UP! Inc. in Stockton, MD is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to implement a developmentally appropriate classroom in collaboration with families and partners.

The role focuses on planning learning opportunities across cognition, literacy, social development, and motor skills, with ongoing assessments and family communication. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and an Infant Toddler CDA; a higher degree is preferred. Full-time, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Holds a current Infant Toddler CDA Credential.
• Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning opportunities that support growth across cognition, literacy, language, social, and motor development.
• Implement ongoing assessment of student progress.
• Follow policy for referring children for diagnostic evaluation when needed.
• Communicate with families via home visits, conferences, materials, and calls.
• Promote health, nutrition, and safe practices for children and families.
• Maintain written reports and confidentiality per policy.
• Oversee classroom volunteers and participate in staff meetings and development.
• Stay informed about current trends and research in early childhood education.
