Job summary

Xiente is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to support infants and toddlers in a hands-on, nurturing environment in Philadelphia. This full-time, in-person role emphasizes responsive caregiving, individualized learning experiences, and strong family partnerships to promote school readiness.

You will implement curriculum, conduct assessments, and ensure compliance with program standards under Center Director supervision. A credential or degree in Early Childhood Education is required.

Qualifications

• Infant/toddler care experience and knowledge of child development.
• Ability to provide nurturing, responsive caregiving and supervision.
• Experience with documentation and observations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers.
• Support children's language, cognitive, social-emotional, and motor development.
• Follow feeding, sleeping, toileting routines and safety guidelines.
• Maintain classroom ratios and active supervision at all times.
• Implement Creative Curriculum and align with PA ELOF standards.
• Collaborate with families, center leadership, and support staff.
• Maintain accurate child files, assessments, and documentation.
