Qualifikationen

• BA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Associates’ Degree in ECE or CDA or ORA Step 8 with experience required.
• Enroll in Oregon Registry Online (ORO) to receive a Step Certificate.

Aufgaben

• Assist in the planning and coordinating of the Education/Disabilities Component.
• Develop daily plans and individual activity plans one week in advance.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs with parents and develop individual goals.
• Conduct Parent/Staff conferences twice a year.
• Encourage parents to participate in curriculum planning and program development.
• Ensure classroom activities are developmentally appropriate.
• Plan with parents to ensure daily personal hygiene and snacks.
• Provide active supervision of all children.
• Maintain an approach to guidance within Head Start/OPK policy.
• Act as primary contact for communication with staff, families, volunteers.
• Coordinate home visits with families and plan field trips.
• Ensure home visits are completed each year as specified.
• Coordinate home activities incorporating family interests and goals.
• Develop individualized home visit plans with parents.
• Encourage parents to become “teacher” on home visits.
• Maintain social services referral system.
