Description

Join Learning Grove, a leading nonprofit early childhood education provider serving Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky for over 40 years, as an Early Childhood Education Teacher. In our beautifully designed, high-quality classrooms, you will be a catalyst for young learners' development—from ages 6 weeks to 6 years—by planning and implementing engaging, research-based lesson plans. Using the Constructivist Theory and embracing child-led play and social-emotional learning, you will help co-create a safe, stimulating environment that partners with parents to shape a childs future. Job Requirements

  • Education & Certification:
    • Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is required; an Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
    • Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers, with daily implementation supported by the Director/Assistant Director.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Prior experience working with young children, demonstrating effective classroom management through positive redirection, problem solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.
    • Ability to develop and deliver a quality curriculum that promotes intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
    • Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with families, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
    • A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program details.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of up to 20 pounds.

  • Curriculum & Instruction:
    • Plan, implement, and evaluate a high-quality curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of children, fostering their intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development.
    • Use assessment data to adapt learning plans that advance each child's progress.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create and maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that reflects our high standards and home-like quality.
    • Effectively manage daily schedules, transition times, and classroom activities by employing strategies based on Constructivist Theory and positive redirection.
  • Family & Community Engagement:
    • Establish and nurture trusting relationships with families, keeping them informed and involved in their childs educational journey.
    • Collaborate with lead teachers and center directors to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Collaboration:
    • Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practices and classroom management.
