Job summary

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) Head Start is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant to support three Early Head Start classrooms in Branson, MO. The role emphasizes responsive caregiving, relationship-based practice, and collaboration with teaching staff to promote healthy development and school readiness.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, six college credits or an Infant/Toddler CDA, and experience with infants/toddlers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six college credit hours or Infant/Toddler CDA.
• Experience with infants and toddlers.
• Willing to obtain Early Childhood Development Specialization Certification through Ozarks Tech (paid for by employer).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily classroom operations in three Early Head Start classrooms.
• Assist with providing responsive care and supervision to infants and toddlers.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate activities and routines.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
• Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
