East Bay Community Action Program in Rhode Island seeks an EHS Teacher Assistant Float to support infants and toddlers across our East Bay sites, including East Providence. You’ll work with the Teacher Lead to deliver high-quality early childhood education and ensure safe, welcoming classrooms.

The role requires flexibility, reliable transportation, and commitment to family-centered services; CDA credential and knowledge of The Creative Curriculum are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDA credential, Infant/Toddler preferred.
• Degree coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
• Experience in early childhood education settings is desirable.
• Knowledge of The Creative Curriculum is advantageous.
• Familiarity with classroom assessment tools is beneficial.
• Understanding Conscious Discipline practices is valued.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, healthy, engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise children and promote positive learning experiences.
• Support social-emotional growth with positive guidance strategies.
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
