Job summary

Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. is seeking an EHS Teacher Assistant (12 months) to support infant and toddler care within the Early Head Start program. The role involves assisting classroom teachers, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting health and nutrition activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum: CDA; or enrolled in a program leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree or enrolled in CDA program to be completed within 2 years.
• Warm, supportive attitude toward children and parents; reliable and flexible; willing to take supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in classroom care giving routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment.
• Assist with meals, snacks, and bottle preparation.
• Participate in home visits and staff trainings.
• Follow Head Start standards and safety procedures.
