Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit invites applications for an Early Head Start Child Development Assistant in Coatesville, PA. This is a full-time, 260-day position located at the CCIU Infant & Toddler Center, working with infants and toddlers under the Early Head Start Program in the Division of Student Services.

Qualifications include a CDA or Associate's degree (or willingness to attain) and clearances.

Qualifications

• CDA or Associates Degree, or willingness to attain CDA within one year required
• Previous experience working in a childcare/preschool setting preferred
• Bilingual/Bicultural preferred
• Current (within one year) State Criminal, Child Abuse & FBI Fingerprint, NSOR Clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
• Two professional written letters of reference

Responsibilities

• Assist the Child Development Specialist in planning and executing early childhood activities
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with adults and children
• Assist the teacher in carrying out the duties of caring for children
