• Background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status compliance.

• Instructs to meet state core curriculum standards and district goals using approved curricula.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials; provides individualized and small-group instruction.
• Sets objectives in lesson prep and weekly plans; presents to achieve these objectives.
• Analyzes student data to drive instruction and monitor progress toward goals.
• Maintains classroom records and reports student progress as required.
• Identifies pupil needs and collaborates with staff to resolve learning problems.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior to foster a productive learning environment.
• Plans class time effectively to maximize instruction.
• Communicates with parents through conferences and other channels about pupil progress.
• Creates assignments and tests that assess analytical thinking and factual recall.
• Plans developmentally appropriate activities for all pupils.
• Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities as assigned.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing professional development.
• Participates in school-level planning and committees.
• Utilizes community resources to enhance instruction.
• Upholds school rules and board policies.
• Maintains documentation and performs other duties as assigned.
