Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early learning standards.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet RI DCYF licensing requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities that support early childhood development.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for all children.
• Monitor and document individual child progress, milestones, and developmental goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure program quality.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols.
