Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers, following menus prepared by our in-house nutritionist. You will safely maintain kitchen equipment and help ensure high standards of hygiene and nutrition.

The role requires a love for children, basic math for portions, and a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain one. Experience in institutional cooking and working with children is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
• Familiarity with accurate food storage, allergy considerations, and cross-contamination prevention.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare quantities for the center population.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and related equipment safely and hygienically.
• Order food and supplies.
• Dispense and store medication as requested.
• Complete documentation per KinderCare and licensing requirements.
• Support center operations with staff and leadership to meet enrollment and engagement goals.
