Job summary

COA Youth & Family Centers is seeking an Early Education Center Teacher in Milwaukee to join the Riverwest Center team. This full-time role supports day-to-day classroom programming while meeting Wisconsin DCF licensing, HS/EHS, and NAEYC accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and high school diploma/GED.
• Must meet DCF, HS/EHS, and NAEYC requirements.
• Level 12 on The Registry or Infant Toddler Credential preferred.
• Knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practice, EHS, etc. preferred.
• Proficient in Word and Excel with accurate typing skills.
• Experience working with urban youth and families.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day programming within the classroom.
• Ensure licensing and accreditation standards are met.
• Create and implement developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans.
• Follow ASQ process to monitor progress and update portfolios.
• Communicate with parents and conduct conferences.
• Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings.
